ABOUT SUPERIOR HEMA
Superior HEMA started in 2019, we teach from the ground up all the fundamentals one needs to be competent with blades. Beginning with cutting structure and footwork. Then moving onto advanced techniques and tactics directly from the teachings of the old masters.
We primarily teach from the Zettel. A recital on knightly combat written by Johannes Liechtenauer. And focusing on his teachings with the longsword.

Head Instructor
Zach Brown
Zach Brown started practicing in 2017 and has competed and won many tournaments across the world. He is a certified Level 2 "Provost" instructor under Storica Defensa, and also teaches modern fencing and practices many martial arts, including BJJ.

Razi Sayed
Razi is passionate about history and learning. He likes practicing with any type of weapon available. He enjoys teaching and helping new students to thrive and understand why things work.

Hannes Pentinnen
Hannes Started HEMA in 2022 and is one of the most dedicated practitioners around. He's always trying to help students figure out complicated elements and loves understanding things deeply.

Alex Pirie
Alex started HEMA in 2019, he was one of the first students through the door. Alex has competed in many events in North America. He likes a holistic approach to teaching HEMA, focusing on many aspects, including mental and physical preparation.
